Few months ago me and my class friends went to the water world which placed in Kelaniya.In there was a separate section call "Kurulu Uyana" it is a bird park so we went there too and we had great time watching birds.There are lot of parrots belong to various species with multi colored.We really enjoyed watching them but little bit sorrow too because they were kept in little cages and some of they behaved like that it wanna escape i hope if that the cages is large it would e nice.However following pictures have taken in there.
The Eclectus Parrot features that make them uniquely beatiful.
Their head and breast feathers look like
silky hair.The contrast between the brilliant emerald
green plumage of the cock and the deep
red/purple plumage of the hen is so marked
Cockatoo endemic to the Island of Halmahera, Bacan, Teernate, Tidore,Kasiruta and Mandiole in North Maluku, Indonesia. It is a white parrot with a black or brown eyes and a dark grey beak.When surprised, it extends large and striking crest,which has a semicircular
shape similar to an umbrella.Pet White Cockatoos may raise their crests upon training, or when something catches their interest such as a new toy or person. The undersides of the wings and tail have a pale yellow or lemon color which flashes when they fly, and most interesting thing i found is that Cackatoo can live up to and perhaps beyond 80 years.
